If someone could be in my head for a mere two seconds, just two, they would hear this…
Brain starts off with – “I’m going to paint the bathroom…. No, I think I’ll finish decorating the boys sports themed bedroom… Wait, I want to re-do that gallery wall… No, I NEEEEEED to organize the laundry room…”
Which usually all turns into “I’ll hang a canvas print, run to the gas station for a fountain coke and then online shop for some new shoes.”
I am the Wikipedia definition of “Scatter Brained”. Or as some would say, I have a lot of irons in the fire.
Or a lot of ideas in my brain.
Scatter Brained - The inability to produce any coherant thought pattern. Often a side effect of, but definitely not limited to, alcohol or drug consumption.
Except I don’t drink or do drugs. Awesome.
Being that it’s Valentine’s Day, I wanted to share with y’all a few things that I am loving. And yes, they vary from Iced White Mochas to giant canvas prints to my love for New Kids On The Block.
Let’s call this post – The Scattered Love Affair, shall we?
This really has nothing to do with my random thoughts on painting, sports themed bedrooms or gallery walls. But, I’m sure that doesn’t surprise you, now does it?
Ahem.
Here you go, 9 Things I Love More Than Fountain Coke.
1. Beaches
I live in the midwest where it’s cold six months out of the year. That’s over half the year where we have snow, ice, wind and tornadoes. Ewww.
When I can get to the warm sunny beach, especially in the winter? I’m there.
Last year I survived 15 days in an RV with my family soooooo this year… I’m owed the beach vacay. We have two different beach vacations scheduled not including the Jamaica trip we just took in January.
Thank you husband, for making up for dragging me across the country “Christmas Vacation” style. I dig sand in my toes not mosquitos in my camper.
2. Throw Pillows
My husband gets so frustrated every time he tries to sit on our couch or lay in our bed, because before he can sit down? He must remove 97843873254580 throw pillows to make room for his booty.
I mean, I equate it to the way that men love tools. The only difference is his tools actually come in handy when I need to fix something and my pillows… Well, they aren’t super useful for fixing anything.
They sure are puuurty though.
3. Roses
Send me a bouquet of roses? I’m ok with that. But, I’m not much for one who needs fresh flowers on my dining room table each week.
But, let me stencil my bathroom wall in roses? Now, THAT, is love.
I’ve even went as far as getting a rose tattooed on my wrist.
Extreme? Maybe.
Ok, definitely.
4. Canvas Prints
When you walk into our home, there is no question that I love canvas prints. I have them, like…ummmmmm. Everywhere.
I have a slight obsession with organizing the layout of a good gallery wall and it MUST, in my opinion, involve a canvas print.
Some people need a therapist to get through their issues, but me? Just give me some giant canvas prints, a few frames, a couple mirrors…and call me healed.
My favorite place to order canvas prints is Picture It On Canvas. I asked them if they would offer y’all a discount in case you are slightly obsessed needed some therapy like me.
Enter PIOCROSE75 at checkout for 75% off an 11×14 canvas print! OR, if you want a big giant one (my favorite kind) just enter TAKE65OFF.
I totally just ordered a few more using the code. #boom

5. Chasing Rainbows
There’s just something about seeing a rainbow that is magical to me. One of our favorite things to do as a family is to chase rainbows. If we spot one? We jump in the car and try to find the end.
Which, of course, always ends us up at Dairy Queen. The true pot of gold.
6. Closet Hiding
If you ever come over and can’t find me… Just check my closet.
I tend to hibernate in there when I need a break from the crazies.
It’s my secret place, except it’s not so secret anymore.
My kids are on to me and the dog usually blows my cover by bringing them right to the closet door. Dead giveaway.
I’m telling you though…there is something peaceful about the closet. I often read my Bible in there or play my guitar.
7. Starbucks
Let’s get this straight, when I say I love Starbucks it does not mean the same thing as “I love coffee”.
I don’t drink coffee. I drink sugar.
Venti Iced White Mocha, 3 shots espresso AND whip cream.
Pretty sure the way I feel about drinking Starbucks is the same way my kids feel about riding the scrambler. #samejoy
I’m currently on a Starbucks fast and it’s brutal.
If you see missing person posters with my face on them hanging up around our town, it’s probably because my barista is wondering if I’ve went missing. Thirteen days and counting.
8. Toddlers and Baby Goats
Because really? Does it get any better than a toddler feeding a baby goat. Enough said.
Not even someone telling me I can quit the Starbucks fast can top this one.
9. Anything From The 90′s
I once believed I was going to marry Joe from NKOTB. I had every boy band C.D. that was ever made in that era, including 98 Degrees.
Slap bracelets are, in my opinion, still the coolest bracelet ever made.
I still watch Saved By The Bell reruns.
And I might still own my caboodle from the 9th grade.
So, when my best friend presented me with these amazing vintage Michael Jordan valentines (from THIS great antique shop) for my boys to pass out at school this year?
I hid them and told my boys they were collectibles.
Pretty sure I’m going to somehow frame these for a gallery wall in the man cave.
I’m sure I could keep going and mention MANY other things I love like: Target trips without kids, adult bouncy houses, jean vests, ice cream trucks, couch snuggles, chocolate cupcakes, the Lowe’s truck pulling in my driveway and sayings like “Girl please.” But I’ll stop there.
In fear that I’ve already given you too much of a glimpse into my head and it’s making me look cray-cray.
But really, go order a canvas.
